Thank to everyone who has contributed, Pinta is now at v1.2!

New Features

In this new release several features have been added:

• Individual layers can now be rotated arbitrarily
• Added specific mouse cursors for tools (pencil, paintbucket, etc)
• Autocrop of image
• Gradient tool now takes advantage of multiple cores to speed up rendering time
• Added image preview to the images pad
• 791161 - Added white text background option
• 892690 - Show image previews in the Open File dialog

Fixed Bugs

• 892935 - Resize tool screen doesn’t update canvas after using effects
• 889733 - Enable a default action for all dialogs
• 855338 - Whole image not drawable when rotated
• 901712 - Pinta freezes when zooming out a very small image
• 683242 - Fixed issues with spacing of ellipsis in Slovenian menu titles
• 886917 - Toolbars are too big on Linux
• 887574 - After undo, selected areas do not have resize handles
• 889723 - Selection resize handles are zoomed when the image is zoomed
• 891556 - Fixed incorrect behavior of Undo command when editing text
• 738065 - Remove selection after pasting into a new image
• 633104 - Fixed broken shortcuts with Num Lock or Caps Lock enabled
• 890478 - Layers/Import from File should use the last-opened directory
• 873622 - Allow saving empty files with Window/Save All
• 722045 - Saving as a different file type doesn’t change the extension automatically
• 889728 - Open images pad not refreshed after the file name changes with Save As
• 886512 - Open image pad has incorrect string name
• 892742 - Fixed crash when selecting Automatic Crop with no open image
